Great Bromley & District Cricket Club was formed in 1920. The ground, which is situated behind the village hall, is widely regarded as a beautiful place to play cricket.
The club has two senior teams playing on a Saturday in Division 5 of the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties League and on a Sunday in Division 1 of the PiriPiri North Essex League
An evening league team play on Tuesdays and Kwik cricket every Friday for 6-11 year olds.
