Match report A strong looking Halstead arrived for the cup game and were put into bat by stand in skipper Rich. His logic clear, with the league trialing a new ball which would be used for the whole game, if there was to be an advantage then use it first. Unfortunately the ball did nothing and Spatcher capitalised in his powerful 126. He had good support from Barton (40) and Johnson (49). Halstead finishing on 291-8 with Pedro the pick of the bowlers taking 3-28 but Paul and Nick chipped in with a couple each as well.

Well nothing to lose as it is a cup game so might as well go for it and to be fair we gave it a good go. There were healthy contributions along the way. Craig (44), Jordan (57), Pedro (40) and Paul (38) all batted well but the innings lacked that magical big score which could of seen us get really close. We were fnally bowled out in the 40th over for 221.
