Match report Halstead the opponents as we travelled to the Star Stile cricket ground. After a successful chase the previous week and what looked like a bowler friendly wicket Pip did not hesitate in fielding first. Paul continued his good form with the ball by taking the first wicket in his second over. After that he went unrewarded as his figures do not reflect how well he bowled. At the other end Matt W was steady and deserved his wicket in his final over. The score was 51-2 off 10 overs when Louis came on and gave nothing away going for only 20 runs from his 10 overs. More importantly he picked up the wicket of Rayner (43). Pedro came on after Paul and was tidy as the run rate came down. With the score reaching 102-3 in the 27th over Pedro struck with a simple catch to Pete. Pete was in the game again soon after when a suicidal run was attempted and Barton (40) was run out. 116-5 we were well on top. Pete and Jake came on and between them finished off the Halstead innings. Jake taking 2-2 from 5 and Pete 3-2 from 4. The final 4 wickets fell with the score on 127 as Halstead conceeded 4 overs.

Our innings started steady with Craig playing some excellent shots off both the front and back foot. Rich was first out hitting a full toss to the only deep fielder on the leg side but with the score on 57 from 12 overs the foundation for victory was laid. Craig was going well but fell short of his fifty being caught and bowled after driving forcefully back at the bowler. Louis and Matt put on 30 for the next wicket and brought up 100 before Matt was stumped. Jake arrived at the wicket and was dimissed needing just four to win. Louis hit the winning runs and ended with a sensibly played 33 not out to see us home by 6 wickets.
