Match report After almost two months without an away game Bromley now have six away games out of the last seven remaining, starting with St Osyth. Upon losing the toss not suprisingly we were in the field on a warm sunny but breezy afternoon. Paul and Harry started off with some mostly accurate bowling but not making the breakthrough. Although Paul came very close as his hero dropped a diving catch at mid-wicket. Not a sight seen often on a cricket field! Things became more familiar as Louis came on and had a drop in the gully. No suprises the culprit this time was flanel hands Rob. Pedro came into the attack and removed three of the top five including both openers. Another rare sight was to occur when the brother of flanel hands confidently caught off the bowling of Louis. Jake and Rob came on and took a wicket each with St Osyth finishing on 243-6. However with 60 runs coming off the last 6 overs we were chasing more than we should be.

A fairly confident Bromley side readied themselves for the chase ahead but lost Craig and Pedro inside 10 overs. Jake and Louis then put on 102 before Louis fell for a decent 59. At 136-3 after 30 the platform was set for us to really attack St Osyths score. Pip made 18 in good time but with still over 90 to get a big patnership was needed so the tail didn't have it all to do. 30 runs were added before Rich was out for 14 and Paul for 0 in the same over. 66 needed from 7 overs and it was down to Jake and the bowlers. It proved too many and Jake was out for a back to form 45. The game was gone but the Matts saw us to maximun batting points with Matt W 13* and Matt F 16*.
