Match report A glorious sunday afternoon and Abberton were the visitors to Rectory Road. Once again upon winning the toss Bromley elected to bat. Things started well as openers looked comfortable on another cracking wicket. It took two good catches to dismiss first Craig (14) and then Rich (20). After that Bromley never recovered and lost wickets at regular intervals. Fresh from his knock against Galleywood two weeks previous Simon continued his good form with an impressive 61. The only batsman to make use of the good batting conditions and lightning outfield. All out for 146 in the 35th over was never going to prove difficult for a side as strong as Abberton was it?
No it wasn't. Abberton cruised to a very comfortable 6 wicket victory with M Gilray (64) the pick of the batting. The Bromley bowlers bowled well but never had enough runs to defend. However they ran in hard and gave the batsmen problems at times with Paul the pick of the bowlers taking 3-48 from his 10 overs.
