Match report A match for revenge! With captain Matt taking orders to have a rest Liam Holyman took over in this grudge match against the Uni. Things got off to a great start with Halsey again bowling tight opening spell, this time along with Olly (Usain) Wright. After 6 overs they were 1 down with only 33 on the board and things were going well with Matt Wake following up some tight bowling with the Fish. They then started to accelerate with Selley who started to knock the ball to all parts and very quickly got to his half century, not that he had any idea, the Uni obviously had a hard day, especially the player that looked like he was still in his pyjamas and they didn't even clap his 50! They finished on a very respectable 139 for 2 but with the amount of batting Bromley had it would be an achievable total.

With Calum keeping he kindly offered the opening role alongside Olly to his brother, how kind of him. Olly got off to a fast start with a boundary 4 first ball but this wasn't to last when he was bowled for 17. Again it was Liams job to hold the innings together as Calum and the Fish both went cheaply. Sam day and Jack Abbot on debut held up some resistance and entertained with some good shots to get the innings moving again. Jack playing a good debut with some solid fielding and class batting. Sadly this wasn't enough and when they departed the rest seemed to go as well. Trying hard but not quite finding the gaps or luck, especially if your name is Cliff who seems to be a star in the school of hard knocks at the moment, when rashid come back for his final over, and in the setting sun bowls a beemer at cliff who can do no more than think his head is harder than the ball and try to head it for four. This though didn't work and I am sure he is feeling it now. Finishing on 118 all out it was a good win for the uni but only down to Selley who hit 86 and got 4wkts, bit of a one man team?
