Match report On a day where it seemed you needed to be called Matt to be playing with four Matt's in one team. Not one of these four though got to contribute with the bat as it seemed like the Holyman show with the willow. Younger brother Calum opened up with Olly but Olly went early to a decent ball from Morris. Then came the Fish but swung all round a straight one and the innings looked to be off to a shakey start. Bring in older brother Liam. If the score book had been properly completed I could know the partnership exactly but it was nearing 100 if not over the ton. After some real oddies fielding positions from the real oddies (excuse the pun) and some catching that left the bowlers frustrated they eventually took a catch after Calum picked out a fielder in the deep, a steady innings for 41. Then the ever Mr reliable (Rich)came to the crease and some more poor fielding allowed him to get 34 in no time. Not forgetting Liam who eventually got hold of a couple of shots and smashed two sixes at the end of his innings to end on 57 not out and Bromley setting a challenging target of 150.

Now for the turn of the bolwers and this was the time for the Matt's to partake. In particularly Mr Foley whose face was astonished when captain Matt bought him on first change for Matt Halsey. This though was an inspired bowling change with Matt F picking up three wickets and allowing Bromley to really take charge of the game. Bromley did put on a good fielding display with all catches being taken (take note) with the safe hands of Calum out in the deep and the bucket hands of Wareing taking two. One of them an outstanding catch running at least 25yards and not being settled under it still managed to make it look simple. Will Garnham bowled extremly well and that catch was unlucky to be his only wicket as he beat the bat and the stumps on numerous occasions.

A well deserved win by the Tuesday night team, more of the same against the Uni and we can be well on our way to trying to win another trophy!
